Minimizing the moments that we have made good choices and maximizing the moments where we have made poor ones…can you relate? If you are anything like me, you can be chugging along all day, praising God, walking closely with him…then a weak moment hits and POOF! You make a poor choice and conclude, “I blew this day! I may as well forget this stupid stuff…” Or something like that. Maybe that is only me. 🙂
So, in this video, I share something that God has used to help me to see the value of the moment. I hope it encourages you. I am sorry it is so long (about 5 minutes, I think). I will try to make sure the next one is not longer than two minutes.
Praying for you all today! Please pray for me! Being this tired, I find my defenses are down.
Loved the video. Such a great analogy. I'm nearly tempted to get some marbles and a jar to remind myself!

I love your object lessons! Thanks so much. I needed this today. The length didn't bother me at all. I love watching your videos.I had my monthly weigh in and measure session at Curves today. My weight stayed the same, but my measurements are going down! I'm encouraged.

Heidi,This was a great video. Thanks for sharing it. Not only can I use it in my Thin Within journey, but also my journey in a stressful life right now. Each day matters and each morning is new. I can focus on the "marbles" that are put in when I respond in a good way to a stressful situation instead of focusing on the fact that it was stressful. Don't worry about the length being over 2 minutes. It is the content that matters and it was well worth it!!!By the way, I am in a classroom situation for the summer and I love this idea for my class! Excellent. I have used other methods, but not this one. The sound will be a good positive encouragment for the kids. Thanks!

Thanks for the comments, girls! I am so glad that you like the video ok. Autumnseer, some of the ladies at the Thin Within forum *have* done precisely that! I think the book makes a suggestion of putting coins in a jar…and use the money to reward yourself with something you have been wanting (probably non-food related LOL!) when you get to the top. That might be fun!YAY, Senkyoshi! YAY!Deanna, I actually used this when homeschooling my kids…one year we switched from Mom's loosey goosey version of homeschool to a very stringent Abeka DVD series for homeschool. My oldest (then in 8th grade) thought the marble jar idea must have come with all the Abeka books and DVDs! LOL! My old kids loved it and we DID celebrate when we filled up the jar. Maybe we will do that again this coming year as we are returning (again) to a very intensive year…they are 17 and 15 now. That would be interesting! LOL!
