I so appreciated the response that I got from Brianna (not Angela…I accidentally called her Angela at the beginning of the video) here at the blog and realized that there is a lot in her question…so I put together not one…but TWO videos to respond! They are each 11 minutes long! ARG! So sorry for the verbose response. I promised I would zip things down…but there was so much to share. So here are both parts and I will be posting the links I promise on Friday. 🙂
…and here is Part 2…
So, what other words of wisdom do you all have to offer Brianna and others like her who have little ones at home all day?
Thanks so much, Brianna!
Very inspiring! I am going right now to the, “I deserve a donut” app.
God has given you so much insight, thank you for sharing what you have been given, Heidi.
Oh, Becky…thank you so much!
Hi, would you mind posting a link to your friend’s blog? I was unable to find that or the IPad app.
Thanks!
Barb’s blog is being moved right now and is currently *not* available. It will be http://www.barbraveling.com and I will let you know when it is online!
Her app may be found at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/i-deserve-a-donut/id529567174?mt=8

Thank you so much! I downloaded this video and am watching it whenever I need encouragement. You are such a blessing and I thank God for you! Please pray that I continue fighting. It’s still been tough but I’m recomitting to the Thin Within principles today.

Hi, Brianna. So glad that you are finding it encouraging. You *can* do this! Hang in there. Praying for you today. *hugs*
Heidi! I love that you talked about couch time! Babywise!! I have done bw from the start (my daughter is now 18 months) and its been such a blessing! I know I will have that time each day to spend in the Word and with my hubby.
Hi, Christina. I didn’t do Babywise, but I did Growing Kids God’s Way and attended the video training, too, where they talked about it. It really made a difference. That IS precious time with the Lord and with hubby, too.
Such encouraging videos! Praise God! I have an 18 month old daughter and I have found myself wanting to eat more during her nap time because I want to enjoy the food and not feel rushed or feel like I have to share what I am eating with her (I don’t share food very well–ha!). So I was finding myself eating when I wasn’t hungry and like it was my last chance until bed time. I wasn’t going too crazy, but it still wasn’t right. So now I remind myself that I CAN eat when I’m hungry, even if she’s awake and that I CAN eat what I enjoy and that it’s ok to share. 🙂 It’s helped a lot! Now I wait until I’m hungry during nap time. I also make a point to eat at the table when I do eat instead of feeling rushed. My daughter is busy, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy my food.
