I am guilty of putting God Second, sometimes even third and fourth. But I know that without Christ there would be nothing to be second too. God is first of everything. I am so blessed

Oh, the wonderful innocence of a young child…such simple faith and yet really a faith that God wants all of us to have. What really was poignant to me was "I am second". If I were to truly take this in deep into my heart it would change everything. If I am second and God is first I would eat to please Him, not me. If I am second pride and what others think of me wouldn't matter half as much as what HE thinks of me and desires for me. If I am second and He is first, others would be be a top priority and that too would affect how I eat….afterall I have a family and a church family that needs me to stay healthy. One thing I know that I need to continue to work diligently at is having alone time with God everyday. That place of meeting is when the real work in my heart can be done, when I slip into second place and He gets first.
